Service was good but unfortunately this has been the worst food we’ve had in Japan.

Had the Kyoto set meal and it was disappointing. No Japanese pride in cooking. Pork was tough. Vegetables were rooty and rice was mushy. Free water was great.

Great amount and quality of food for the price. Definitely cheap for what you are given. My recommendation is the set meals as they are always too big to finish, but cheaper than most other restaurants!

We have set-ups and sets in full time such as Kyo Banzai Tanzen. It was a seasoning of the Kyoto style which made soup stocky.Do not compare with Gion's restaurant. Unlike a set restaurant in a chain store, it seems like Kyo style homemade food with a high handmade feeling.In the set meal there are two main dishes and each is about 1 serving. Even that alone will make you full, but when you cook big rice it is a super bomb burst! Even bowls can be recharged, but in exchange for a big bowl a big rice bowl was also served in a way like a cartoon!

The food was very good and the portions big but while every customer got free water just as they arrived we didn't get any and I can't help but to think that it was because we are foreigners.

A very easy to enter store with many nearby office workers for lunch. The price range is good and you can eat without being pretentious.
